Port Lincoln Anglers Club Inc.

Prior to the formation of the present Port Lincoln Anglers Club Incorporated, a club known as the Port Lincoln Angling Club existed in 1940 and 1941. Minutes dated from 14th October 1940 to 17th August 1941 show that the club went into recess until a meeting was held on 22nd January 1947. A motion was moved to place an advert in the Port Lincoln Times advertising details of its upcoming Annual General Meeting. It appears that nothing happened from this date and it is assumed that the club never formed again from that point in time.

The present club was formed when its first meeting was held on 7th April 1967.
